Each installation of Log4View Professional Edition requires a license. The license allows the product to be used for commercial purposes. A license can be registered to an individual or a company.
Registration on a device (for private or commercial use)

Owners of a personal license can install the log monitoring software on up to three of their devices (e.g. their work PC, one private PC and one laptop). Yet they may only run Log4View on one of their devices at a time. When registered to a company, the logging software can be installed on one corporate device and be used by unlimited users. This licensing is suitable for stationary devices with multiple users, e.g. monitoring stations.

A Site License is suited for companies with just one site or for larger companies, who need a license for just one company site. It covers all installations of the logviewer on a particular site or facility of the license holder. A Site License does not limit the number of concurrent executions of the logparser.

A Company License is suited for companies with more than one site that need a license for all sites. It covers all installations of the log analyzer on all sites or facilities of the license holder. A Company License does not limit the number of concurrent executions of the logging viewer.
suitable for companies who want to install and deliver Log4View on their own products
A Company & Product License is suited for companies that want to use the log management software internally and also want to deliver Log4View with their own products. It covers all installations of Log4View on all sites or facilities of the license holder. Additionally, the license holder can install and deliver the log analyzer on his own products. A Company & Product License does not limit the number of concurrent executions of the logging software.
VAT will apply for countries that are members of the European Union.
Commercial use and Permanent usage of versions it has been bought for
Upgrades to all major versions released within one year after purchase (e.g. 2.x.x -> 3.x.x).
Support for one year
All updates within the same major version (e.g. 2.0.x -> 2.1.x)
The support period ends after one year. This means that a license is no longer eligible for technical support and new upgrades. The major release of Log4View which is current at the time of support end will continue to run for unlimited time.
An additional year of support & upgrades for a Log4View license can be purchased at any time.

If you install the logging software on a computer for the first time, the program runs as a Trial Edition for 30 days. It offers the exact same functionality as the Log4View Professional Edition. After 30 days, Log4View continues as the limited Community Edition.
